It didn’t work and for some strange reason now my laptop won’t hibernate. Even with the drive I ran the tools on to reinitialize it and with a brand new drive not initialized. Not sure why it’s just hanging on preparing. It always has for years and they said as long as external it would be fine.
Even plugged a new one in amd for the first time that just hangs ow as well and it’s not even initialized which is how I have done four successful ones albeit two from the dvd bay that taught me a bad lesson with the boot record.
I reset the drive and tried again and nothing.
